Cluster Entity Linkages
This is an expansion of the concept described in
3B where the three dimensional product of Technologies,
Processes and Products are depicted.
In this the center where the Process dimension now shows
Partners and Resources we have Innovative Engine Partners.
The red ovals represent points where there are Entity Linkages
occur and also represent Standards associated with these
Linkages. Standards are extremely important at a Linkages
in that it allows compatibility at the interfaces.
If Standards are not in place then the entities on each side of
the boundary must do extra work on their side to correct any
mismatches in the stuff flowing across the boundary. The
Windows Operating environment is an example where designers can
use already accepted Application Program Interfaces, rather than
having to also provide an interface that will work with other
applications. Other examples of Standards would
relate to Form, Fit and Function. Entity polices and
procedures and exchange standards are also other examples.
